"V-LEGAL" WOOD CERTIFICATION IN DETAILS :
In response to an ever-increasing global demand for teak wood, and a commensurate increase in illegal logging and smuggling of this precious wood, the Indonesian government has introduced a certificate to ensure that the origin of this wood is controlled and verified as legal and authorised.
This SVLK (abbreviated to “V-LEGAL“, which stands for Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu) was set up to ensure the SUSTAINABLE and RESPONSIBLE development of the timber industry.
We work EXCLUSIVELY with Indonesian manufacturers and sawmills who can guarantee that they scrupulously respect the traceability and transparency of the origin of their raw materials. (The same applies to all our selected suppliers with whom we work, whatever the raw material used).
